The painting Tea Party can also be interpreted as a kind of contradiction. The image is permeated by emptiness and loneliness, but at the same time, the promise of hope also floats in the air. Perhaps the abandoned room hides dark secrets. When choosing the colors, I strove for light depth and chose a beautiful ultramarine blue for the walls of the room. I offset the hard edges and strong tones with the soft shape of the translucent curtain. I used raw, unprimed canvas for the picture, so the natural color of the material also comes into play.
