Flexible Center is made up of different bodies that interact to form a non-homogeneous unit. Between figuration and abstraction, this luminous triptych relates three different sculptures through a subtle tonality. At the ends, the color of the pieces is a satin burgundy while the center is free of enamel, offering an interface of different clays that give a nude color from its rough texture. This work is modeled entirely with ceramic material and enamels, its interior is irregular, they have brackets to hang on the wall occupying the space in a vertical arrangement. oscarbarbery.com/flexible-centre/

In the relationship between the forms there is a narrative of proximity, of contact, of encounter, and it is probable that this narrative is not only composed of concepts but fundamentally of sensations. In Oscar Barbery's work, sculpture is the verb, it is the action and it is the subject, its formal constitution is the result of representations of the self-determined movement of matter: undefined bodies that attract, compose and project themselves. The relationship between them suggests a new nature or an amplified nature.
